Phil Gaudion – Master of All Trades

Phil Gaudion is a jack of all trades and master of them all. As one third of the now defunct Paul Colman Trio – one of the most successful Christian acts in Australian music history – Phil is now in constant demand as a drummer, producer, recording engineer and seminar speaker.
Since returning to Australia in 2004, Phil has worked with Roma Waterman (No Ordinary Life), Revive (Where I Belong), Adrian Rowse (Up Close), Matt Lucas (Music To My Soul), Compliments of Gus (Live At Baker Street), Richmond AOG (Great Is Your Faithfulness), plus Paul Colman on the song “My Brother Jack” from Colman’s latest CD (Let It Go). He’s also “spending his holidays” touring with Simeon, and doing on-stage sound for Delirious?.
Recently, Phil began turning his considerable energies towards creating and launching an instructional DVD called Tools for Drumming in Church.
He describes this as a “useful tool for church music teams and drummers. to take their music to the next level”. The DVD is a supplement to series of seminars he is presenting on the same subject.
The first of these is at Baulkham Hills Baptist Church in Sydney this Saturday 18 March. The cost is $5 per person. Free entry for kids under 10.
“This is a great opportunity to discuss drumming in church, as well as each instruments’ role in the band,” Phil says.
