The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced this week that Superstation WGN Cable will exclusively premiere the national airing of the 32nd Annual Dove Awards on Friday, May 4th at 8 p.m. EDT. PAX-TV, which was scheduled to air the show on April 28th, has been removed from the lineup, according to Frank Breeden, president of GMA.
“When we first made the television announcement,
we fully expected to have PAX-TV as part of our
line-up. We’re obviously disappointed that a PAX
airing will not occur this year,” Breeden said.
“However, when it came time to sign the contract,
sufficient funding for the PAX time slot was just not
there.”
Breeden continued, “We remain very excited about
our airing and time slot on Superstation WGN. WGN
has saturated coverage across the United States,
with a strong presence in nearly every one of the
top 200 television markets. It will be the best and
most comprehensive coverage the Dove Awards has
ever achieved on a single night.”
