Park Avenue Baptist Church will present the 2003 Passion Play April 18,19
and 20 at 7p.m. The Play depicts the events surrounding the life of Christ
in music and drama. The audience is taken back to the time when Jesus chose
His disciples and performed miraculous signs pointing to His deity. The
story progresses to the triumphant entry into Jerusalem amid cheering
crowds, the betrayal by Judas, His mock trial, horrendous crucifixion, and
glorious resurrection and ascension. What is portrayed is the pivotal time
in the history of mankind…the giving of God’s Son for the sin of the
world.
Each year a dedicated team of members offer the Passion Play to the public
with the prayer that God will be glorified and that men, women and children
will realize their desparate need for a personal relationship with Jesus
Christ. Each year many who witness this drama testify of its powerful,
moving effect, returning a second and third time with friends and family
members whom they want to experience what they have seen and felt.
