City on a Hill: Reflections on Our Spiritual Journeys:
(CCM Books and Harvest House Publishers) City on a Hill collects short, candid essays from a cross section of Christian music people, including Leigh Nash of Sixpence None the Richer, Dan Haseltine of Jars of Clay, Peter Furler of Newsboys, Phil Madeira, and Charlie Peacock. The CD (Essential Records) is new music supplied by Sixpence, Jars, SonicFlood and others, sometimes recording with one another. The book, compiled by Christian musician Steve Hindalong,, allows these artists to honestly reveal pasts, righteousness, their thoughts about God and the responsibility they feel as gospel messengers. Book royalties go to Empowering Lives International, a ministry in Kenya.
