Nichole Nordeman Set to Release Woven & Spun

With two critically acclaimed projects already to her credit, prolific
singer/songwriter and 2001 GMA Female Vocalist of the Year Nichole Nordeman is set to release Woven & Spun, her third project for Sparrow Label Group, September 24th. With combined sales for Wide-Eyed
(1998) and This Mystery (2000) exceeding nearly 300,000 units, Nordeman is poised for breakthrough
success with Woven & Spun.
Her music continues to fill the listener’s desire for songs that are both relevant and thoughtful, though
Woven & Spun, the title taken from one of the album’s songs “I Am,” written by Nordeman, does boast a
more pivotal theme.
“The release of Woven & Spun marks a new chapter in the story God’s been writing in my life, a really
wonderful chapter,” Nordeman states. “My writing in the past seemed primarily focused on the chapters in
my story that dealt with my questions, my struggles and the more introspective moments I’ve had with God
along the way. This time I wanted to write about one central theme: God’s goodness, and how that
goodness is woven into every part of our journey…every page.”
Two years in the making, Woven & Spun was a labor of love for Nordeman and the production team of
Mark Hammond and Charlie Peacock. Hammond, producer of her first two projects, produced five of the
songs on Woven & Spun while Peacock produced seven. This was Peacock’s first time to work with
Nordeman.
“Nichole is a rare artist, set apart in every way,” Peacock says. “God made her to excel and she is true to
that calling. Yet, she’s remarkably humble, earthy, and just plain fun to be around. Anybody that works with
her ends up looking pretty good, and that includes me.”
Brad O’Donnell, Sr. Director of A&R, Sparrow Records, agrees. “Nichole Nordeman is the rarest kind of
artist: a poet so inventive with language, a songwriter so skilled with melody and a woman with a heart so
truly after God’s own. I’m anxious for people to hear this record, to hear from Nichole not just what she is
observing in the world around her, but the things that God is showing her about Himself.”
