The Christmas Hope Tour featuring Integrity Music’s NewSong (www.newsongonline.com) and Ardent/INO Records’ artist Todd Agnew (www.toddagnew.com) will visit select cities between Thanksgiving and Christmas, announced Troy VanLiere of VanLiere-Wilcox, management for the tour and the artists. Joining NewSong and Agnew will be former Dove Award New Artist of the Year nominee Rachael Lampa and New York Times best-selling author Donna VanLiere.
NewSong recently released its second Christmas CD, The Christmas Hope, on September 26 and Agnew released his first holiday recording Do You See What I See? on October 3. The tour will feature music from both releases including classic Christmas carols and holiday favorites sung by NewSong, Agnew and Lampa. VanLiere joins the tour reading excerpts from three of her NY Times Bestselling books in “The Christmas Hope Series”: The Christmas Shoes (2001), The Christmas Blessing (2003) & The Christmas Hope (2005).
“We’re thrilled to be doing another Christmas tour,” said NewSong founding member Eddie Carswell. “There’s nothing more magical than this time of year. Getting to perform for our fans the songs from our new Christmas album along with great holiday classics we grew up with is nothing short of joyous.”

The tour’s eponymous Christmas record, The Christmas Hope was produced by Bernie Herms for SoulFuel Productions (Natalie Grant, Nate Sallie, Avalon) and additional tracks produced by NewSong members Drew Cline, Matt Butler, Rico Thomas and former member Michael O’Brien, The Christmas Hope features 13 tracks, including six original Christmas songs and a remake of “The Christmas Shoes.” Both the classic holiday songs and treasured sacred carols on The Christmas Hope showcase NewSong’s trademark powerhouse vocals along with lush string and jazz arrangements and several guest artists and musicians. Tour mate Lampa contributes to the record with a duet on “The Christmas Blessing,” which also features the Prague Orchestra.
After two highly acclaimed, chart-topping studio projects (Grace Like Rain, Reflection of Something), Agnew has crafted an epic retelling of the Christmas story on Do You See What I See? Following in line with Agnew’s reputation as a powerful lyricist and storyteller, Do You See What I See? tells the Christmas story from the personal perspectives of the eyewitnesses to Christ’s birth from the innkeeper to the Magi to the angels. Painting an audio picture for the listener, he created a musical, not just a collection of seasonal songs for his project. In addition to Todd’s solo performances and duo with Ardent Records newcomer Joy Whitlock as the innkeepers, Vince Lichlyter (Jonah33) is featured as Joseph, Christy Nockels (Watermark) as Mary, Shelley Jennings (Passion) as Elizabeth, Mike Weaver (Big Daddy Weave) as Simeon, Anthony Evans as the angel and Michael O’Brien (formally of NewSong) as the shepherd.
