News from Pacific Media Ministry: Willie Jones Story

A local EMMY-awarded documentary, “The Willie Jones
Story” will air nationally on the Odyssey Network in February as part of
Black History Month. It is the moving true account of a high school
valedictorian headed to Cornell University on a full academic scholarship who
as killed in a drive-by shooting the night of his graduation. An
African-American from Lincoln High School in Southeast San Diego, Willie
Jones Jr. was an honor student with a 3.97 GPA, a champion athelete, student
council member and caring community member.
Produced by Pacific Media Ministry in San Diego, interviews with Willie’s
family and friends provoke important questions about youth violence.
“The Willie Jones Story” will be air Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2:30 p.m.; Monday,
Feb. 5 at 9:30 a.m.; and Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 2:00 a.m. Check local cable
listings for availability of the Odyssey Network in your area.
