Natalie Grant Signs with Curb

Recording artist Natalie Grant recently signed an unprecedented contract agreement with Curb Records. Under the Curb label, Grant?s current project Stronger will be released nationwide Feb. 26, 2002 and will be distributed by Word Entertainment in the CBA market and by WEA in the mainstream market.
“We are excited and humbled to be working with an artist whose ministry and art are so wide reaching. Not only are Natalie’s gifts as a vocalist and songwriter tremendous but her ability to reach the hearts of an audience is second to none. We at Curb look forward to giving Natalie a platform on which she can truly reach the world,”
Mike Curb, president of Curb Records said.
Stronger, Grant?s sophomore project, has positioned her as a solid artist within the Christian music market, and has exceeded expectations in numerous areas. Curb has already announced plans to release the new single ?What Other Man? from Stronger, to Christian AC radio in mid to late February 2002. Coinciding with the release of Stronger, Grant will also depart February 28 on the 55-60 market tour with Plus ONE, with opening acts ZOEgirl and Phat Chance.
“I am thrilled to see Natalie at a label that can capitalize on the moment already built and that has a track record of making super stars. I think we can expect to see great things from this relationship,” stated Mitchell Solarek, Grant?s manager.
Grant will be delivering her new single “What Other Man,? live at numerous events and on televised media appearances as Stronger is released under the Curb label.
In recent weeks, Grant appeared as a special guest at New York City?s Hope At Ground Zero, an intimate gathering in New York honoring and comforting those who have been so instrumental in the rescue mission at the World Trade Center. Presented by The Salvation Army in association with In Touch Ministries, the event showcased Grant, inspirational speaker Dr. Charles Stanley, Commissioner Joe Noland, Broadway performers Carol and Chris Jaudes, and the Salvation Army NY Staff Band. The audience included family members, police, firemen, volunteer and rescue workers that were impacted by the recent World Trade Center tragedy.
Grant?s unique rendition of Francis Scott Key?s beloved ?Star-Spangled Banner? was released to Christian AC and CHR stations this past fall, and has had major radio airplay across the country. A song that American?s have proudly proclaimed for over 70 years as their national anthem, Grant performed the classic anthem at each event in honor of Americans all around the world that have been impacted by the World Trade Center tragedies. Curb is currently making plans to utilize this recording in the near future.
“What I am most excited about is Curb?s vision for my artistry and my ministry,? says Grant.
Grant?s most recent achievements came just a few days ago when she received Dove Award nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year and Long Form Music Video of the Year (He Choose The Nails) for the Gospel Music Association?s (GMA) 33rd Annual Dove Awards which will be held on April 25th at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn.
