9/19/5 “Music City Night Of Hope” raised nearly $12,000 in donations
to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims. With less than four days notice, concerned Nashville radio personalities and recording artists (Avalon, ZOEgirl, Natalie Grant, The Katina’s, Building 429 and American Idol’s George Huff) rallied and filled Two Rivers Baptist Church with a passionate crowd ready to give support, prayer and funding to Katrina’s hurricane victims. The audience included some who had evacuated to Nashville from the troubled region.

9/15/5 New Waymaker Christian Music recording artist Ricardo recently shared his testimony and music with Monica M. Schmelter‹General Manager of the Nashville-based Christian Television Network affiliate WHTN-TV39, and host of the network¹s flagship daily television program "Bridges." During the "Bridges" episode, Ricardo performed his debut radio single - the Top 10 Inspirational hit "I Call Your Name," as well as the upbeat Latin-flavored "Celebrate." The show will air at 9:30 a.m. CST on September 23, 2005 in the Nashville, Tennessee market. A repeat of the program will broadcast at 6:30 p.m. CST. CTN stations in the Knoxville, Tennessee; Macon, Georgia; Dubuque, Iowa; and Tallahassee, Florida markets will air the episode at a later time, and viewers are encouraged to check their local listings for the exact date and time in their area.

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Y. Mineta will join a special prayer session at the Worship City House of Prayer at The Foundry in Nashville, TN to observe the National Day of Prayer. The Secretary is traveling to Nashville on behalf of President Bush to participate in the National Day of Prayer. Secretary Mineta will pay his respects to the victims of Hurricane Katrina during the visit on Friday, September 16, 8:30 a.m. (CDT) - 8:45a.m. (CDT).
