Bible Factory Outlet in Opry Mills Mall (Nashville, TN) and The All New ONE recently hosted a performance and album signing
with Sparrow labelmates and AVALON members, Janna Long and Jody McBrayer. Both artists performed songs from each of their
solo releases during last month’s “Bible Factory Outlet presents Music at the Mills” Concert Series held monthly at Opry Mills.
Holland is kicking 2003 off with a bang! With their debut Tooth and Nail recording called 3Photographs and Tidalwaves2 hitting streets on February 11 and an upcoming tour with the Elms slated to begin in March the new year is looking bright. Nashville natives Josiah Holland, Will
Holland and Timothy Watts began playing together two years ago and say their
sound is of a “non-exclusive variety.” The band is currently scheduled to
join other Tooth and Nail label mates performing at this year’s GMA and has a busy calendar through the summer including performances at several festivals. You can catch Holland on tour now with Cool Hand Luke.
2/1/03 Michael W. Smith’s Worship Again (Oct. 22, 2002) was recently certified
gold (sales in excess of 500,000 units) by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This gold
certification was made official in less than 90 days, driven by sales that surpassed the original, platinum-certified
Worship album which released in Sept. 2001.
Worship Again debuted at No. 1 on SoundScan’s Christian Retail, Mainstream and Combined charts of Christian
music sales and remains at the top the Christian sales chart. The album also marked Smith’s highest debut, at
No. 14, on Billboard magazine’s Top 200 albums chart, where his 2001 release, Worship joined as No. 100,
making Smith the only artist, across all genres that week, to have two albums on the top 100 list.
Joined by Word Artist Rachael Lampa and other friends of Compassion, Geoff Moore will hoste a series of concerts called “An Evening of Compassion with Geoff Moore.” The first show of the tour was sold out Friday, January 17 in Carlinville, IL.
“I have been a long-time supporter of Compassion International,” said Geoff. “The work they do to help poverty-stricken children around the world has made a tremendous impact and to be a part of what they do is an honor.” Geoff’s family has sponsored several children through Compassion International over the years. This month Geoff will be traveling with the tour to Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Rebecca St. James’ recent two-hour concert special, taped during Rebecca’s New Year’s Eve show at Allen Arena in Nashville, helped
to launch the new JC-TV Network, as it officially joins the broadcast family of the Trinity Broadcast Network. On Thursday, January 9th,
the concert was broadcast on JC-TV as a first run concert special on the network, which is targeted to a teen and young adult audience demographic. The telecast was carried over the Dish Network with an estimated audience of more than three million.
