Nashville, TN based independent artist Joanna Martino has been celebrating many successes since the release of her debut album, My World, this past August. A former "American Idol" contestant, Martino was recently nominated for four IndieHeaven Momentum Awards, which recognize independent Christian artists’ pursuit of excellence and passion in their music and mission.

2/21/6 Chris Tomlin was presented with a plaque honoring Arriving being certified RIAA gold today at ASCAP's music square office in Nashville. Tomlin's humility and obvious discomfort with the speech-making part was endearing as his peers heaped on the accolades while Tomlin struggled to find words to express his passion for worship. If I wasn't a fan before, I am now!

2/16/6 Internationally acclaimed Christian recording artist, Cherie Adams, will be featured on the Christian Broadcast Network's The 700 Club program. The program is slated to air Adams' testimony Tuesday, February 21, 2006. The interview was recently filmed at Adams' home outside of Nashville, Tennessee

2/12/6 Kevin Max was in Nashville last week as part of a promotional stop for his latest CD The Imposter. Kevin taped an episode of the national Christian television program Bridges, airing February 24th on CTN (check local listings), and an upcoming artist profile feature for JCTV. The lengthy interviews touch on a variety of subjects including DC Talk, fatherhood and family, and Kevin's new solo career. The Imposter was released by Nothern Records in November, and is in stores now.

2/10/6 Music at the Mills Postponed: Saturday's Music at the Mills and Vow Renewal Ceremony has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Martins Concert Postponed: Come enjoy an evening with the Martins at North Side Baptist Church inMurfreesboro on the new date, Saturday, March 25th at 6:00PM. A few Artist Circle Seats are available for $20 and include a "Meet n' Greet" after the concert. General Admission tickets are only $15. Tickets will be available at Northside Baptist Church and local LifeWay stores

2/1/6 The GMA Music Awards show will be presented on April 5, 2006 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville and will be hosted by Franklin and St. James. The awards show will then be televised in national syndication April 15 to May 1, 2006. Details at: GMA Music Awards Nominations Announced
