I ran into guitarist extraordinaire Phil Keaggy and his lovely wife Bernadette walking at Edwin Warner Park this afternoon. He said he spent a nice Christmas in Nashville with his family.

12/10/08 EMI Christian Music Group, Provident Music Group and Word Entertainment have long collaborated in the marketing and distribution of annual WOW compilation projects, which feature many of the top current songs in Christian music. This year the companies extend their alliance through a charitable event called “WOW Shares,” turning Belmont's Curb Event Center turned into a relief center today. WOW Shares partnered with the non-profit hunger-relief organization, Feed My Starving Children to put together dried food packets to be sent overseas to be sent to people who are starving. Over 400,000 meals will be shipped off to Thailand.

12/2/8 For your family’s ultimate holiday treat, Nashville Ballet is presenting a spectacular all-new production of Nutcracker December 12-14, 19-21, 2008. This charming ballet embraces all of the time-honored traditions of this story while placing them in the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition. This is truly Nashville’s Nutcracker with the addition of historical landmarks, famous families of that era, dazzling costumes, shiny new sets and scenery, and over 200 children from the Nashville area community will be cast in imaginative new roles. The Nashville Symphony will be there to perform the glorious Tchaikovsky score. Special pre-show activities will include a festive Victorian Winter Carnival outside the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Opening night attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a pre-performance gala dinner at The Hermitage Hotel.
