Narnia Hits Stores April 4

With CBA distribution through EMI CMG, Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media present C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia:The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, on DVD on April 4. Academy Award®-Nominated for Best Visual Effects, Best Makeup and Best Sound Mixing 2005, this spectacular $280 million USA box office triumph, Walt Disney Pictures’ third highest grossing live-action film of all time, will be available as a single-disc DVD with outstanding bonus features, and as a Special Two-Disc Collector’s Edition DVD. The Special Edition takes viewers on a deeper adventure into the world of Narnia with nearly ten hours of bonus features – including a behind-the-scenes tour with the film’s child stars, director’s diary, “cinematic storytellers” film diaries, multiple audio commentaries, 3-D map, interactive timeline, featurettes on the creatures and much more. The Narnia DVD production team worked with the filmmakers from the very start of the film’s production, resulting in exclusive, never-before-seen bonus features that deliver unprecedented access into this cinematic blockbuster. Following the box-office success of the film, the Music Inspired by The The Chronicles of Narnia:The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe soundtrack project has seen significant sales, currently having sold over 250,000 units. This past September 27, 2005, EMI CMG partnered with Walt Disney Studios and Walden Media to release the soundtrack of music inspired by Lewis’ best-selling classic.
Kicking off the film’s opening weekend, E! Entertainment Television closed out their E! News Daily broadcast on December 8 with Steven Curtis Chapman’s video for his Inspired-by soundtrack single, “Remembering You.” The video and Chapman have also been seen on CMT, CMT.com, and EXTRA!

Walden Media and Disney are currently planning a sequel based on the next title, Prince Caspian.
