The American Bible Society is launching the Ministry Actualization Seminar, a new conference series that will take place in the Miami, Los Angeles and New York City areas. The inter-denominational event will feature renowned Bible scholars who will provide Bible training for primarily inner-city pastors and church leaders especially those in the Latino communities. The seminar will be held in the Miami area on February 19 at the Holiday Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport Hotel at 2905 Sheridan St. in Hollywood, Fla. Admission to the conference is $20 per person and lunch is provided. Special package deals are available.
Scheduled speakers during the conference include American Bible Society Vice President Emilio A. Reyes and Dr. Edesio Sanchez, Consultant of Translations for the United Bible Societies. The two speakers will address such topics as “Preventing Burn-Out in the Ministry,” “Ruth and Naomi: Between Reality and Appearance” and “The Art of Prayer.” Award-winning Latin recording artist Federico Colloca is also slated to be the Praise & Worship leader for the seminars.
The Ministry Actualization Seminar is one of the many ways that the American Bible Society is reaching out to local churches. The organization hopes that the conferences will help establish strong relationships with the churches and help further the mission of the American Bible Society.
