Michael W. Smith Joins the Team

Michael W. Smith, GRAMMY and Dove Award winning musician, and the Gospel Music Association’s “Artist of the Year,” has announced his support of the The Presidential Prayer Team by joining its prestigious Honorary
Committee. Smith is good friends with President Bush and has visited the White House several times.
Smith said, “Truly in this time, for this generation, the call to prayer could not be more important. Now is the time to summon all of
our energies for this important effort of prayer. I’ve been fortunate to spend time with several presidents personally, and my respect
for these men is tremendous. I urge you to continue to pray for the President and his advisors. The Presidential Prayer Team is
one way we can help leave a legacy of freedom to our children. May the Lord continue to draw us all closer to Him, and ask we seek
Him, may God truly bless America.”
The Honorary Committee, co-chaired by Franklin Graham and Joni Eareckson Tada, includes such leaders as Bill Bright, David
Bryant, Larry Burkett, Paul Cedar, Nicky Cruz, Jack Hayford, David Jeremiah, Dean Jones, Governor Frank Keating, Thomas
Kinkade, Senator Jon Kyl, John Maxwell, Bill McCartney, Lloyd Ogilvie, Luis Palau, James Robison, Ricky Skaggs, Rebecca St.
James, and Representative J. C. Watts.
