The LightHouse presents author, songwriter, singer, and teacher Michael Card in concert on Friday, September 12th at 8PM.
An accomplished musician and songwriter with 19 # 1 songs, numerous Dove Awards, and the prestigious RIAA “Top 365 Songs of the Century” honor for “El Shaddai,” Michael Card is perhaps best known and appreciated for the tedious research and Biblical scholarship which support the themes running through his songs. On A Fragile Stone, many of Card’s songs are written from the first-person perspective of Peter, detailing the apostle’s growing realization that despite his own character flaws, Jesus used Peter to accomplish His purposes.
The LightHouse is located at the Woodmont Hills Church, 3710 Franklin Road. Admission for this show is a suggested donation of $10. The doors open at 7:30. Childcare available $5.
“We are thrilled to have Michael perform at The LightHouse!” says Colette Easter, LightHouse staff. “Our mission is to provide a place for musically and creatively gifted people to use their God-given talents in a wholesome, uplifting atmosphere. Michael will do just that!”
