Men & Women Are Different: What Is Detransitioning?

~ What Is Detransitioning?” is Part 4 in a series on “transitioning” and the “transgender” ideology. ~

What is Detransitioning?

As explained in “Men & Women Are Different: The Problems with Transitioning,” those who think they suffer from “gender dysphoria” are often encouraged to go through hormonal and body mutilation in an attempt to take on some of the characteristics of the opposite sex. Not surprisingly, an increasing number of those who chemically castrate themselves and mutilate their bodies are less than satisfied with their results. This has led to a growing number of detransitionera as their eyes are opened to the lies they have been fed.

What is detransitioning? Numerous older transitioners are now going through the painful and heartbreaking process of detransition and discovering they cannot undo the changes to their bodies, voices, and reproductive organs. High rates of suicidal thoughts and depression occur in these people who learn that the medical, mental health and insurance services that are so readily available to those wanting to transition have NOT been made available to those wishing to undo the damage.

Do many people detransition? While those promoting trans ideology try to say there are only a very few detransitioners, they are a growing group—about 30% of those who have “transitioned” are now detransitioning—and they are garnering more and more attention on social media and even WPATH. Some of them have experienced horrific side effects, chronic health issues, and shortened life expectancy.

A Few Who Have Detransitioned

Here are a few who have left the “trans” culture whose stories are worth reading. Some links are corrupted ,so you may have to search for them by name.

Warning: some of their content can be very off-color because it deals directly with trans ideology and culture.

The medical and psychiatric industries and Big Pharma have been the big winners by creating life-long patients, whether they transition and/or detransition. Up until now the detransitioners have received very little to no help from the medical and psychiatric industries or from insurance. There are signs that this might be changing in 2025.

However, currently there are no procedures to regrow breasts, testicles or penises, and frequently the detransitionera have long-term health problems from the hormones and surgeries they inflicted on themselves. Because of this, the detrans are often left in a state of limbo that they still find healthier and more satisfying than the debacle of trying to live as the opposite sex.
