Mel Gibson at CBA

One of Hollywood’s top-rated actors spoke briefly at the CBA Impact Awards on Wednesday following the film preview of “The Passion.” Mel Gibson said he’s expressing his faith through the controversial film that realistically depicts the last 12 hours before Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. He indicated early cuts already have changed people’s lives and pointed out that Christian retail should benefit from the Eastertime film release as many unchurched people learn how Christ actually died and rose from the dead.
Also at CBA, The International Christian Visual Media Assoc. named the 2003 Crown award winners July 11 preceding CBA Convention. “The Climb” (World Wide Pictures) and “Joshua” (FHE/Word) tied for Best Picture.
