Meet Two “Infectious” New Bands

GO FISH-INFECTIOUS
There is something new to be excited about at your
local Christian bookstore! The young band Go Fish
have released their first album, INFECTIOUS, for Inpop
records.
The group consists of Jamie Statema, Andy Selness, and
Jason Folkmann, all from Minnesota. Go Fish started
out as an a capella group several years ago and have
evolved into a full band sound.
On INFECTIOUS, there is a still strong focus on
amazing vocal harmonizing, along with slick r&b pop
production by Gotee brother, Todd Collins.
“‘Til the Stars Fall” has an especially 70’s feel with
a vocal arrangement that reminds one of the group
America. Upbeat songs like the title track,
“Infectious” and “What Mary Didn’t Know” are also
characteristic of this fun, pop record. Check out
these guys on the net at www.GoFishGuys.com.
MERCY ME- ALMOST THERE
These guys are simply here to bring awesome modern
worship music to the Christian masses! They have just
released ALMOST THERE on INO Records. Their current
single, “I Can Only Imagine” is gaining airplay
nationally and locally on 101.1 The One. The song
features the excellent refrain of the words, “Let it
rain! Let it Rain! I was instantly captivated by
these guys when I first heard “Worship You” for the
first time this Spring. The song is so powerful that
I was instantly drawn to worship God and sing along.
The guys in the band have been together for seven
years and also have several independent albums out. Mercy
Me features: Bart Millard on vocals; James Bryson on
Piano, Organ, and keyboards; Nathan Cochran on Bass;
Robby Schaffer on Drums; and Michael Scheuchzer on
guitars.
Bart’s voice will likely draw comparisons to Mr.
Dove himself, Steven Curtis Chapman. Make sure to
check out www.mercyme.org for music samples, tour
dates, and more.
