Mayberry Memories In Word & Song

Mayberry Memories In Word & Song will take place June 13 – 15 in Roanoke, Virginia with original show cast members: George Lindsey (Goober), Betty Lynn (Thelma Lou), James Best (Jim Lindsey), George Spence (Frank, Gloria’s Boyfriend), The Dillards (The Darlings), and Maggie Peterson Mancuso (Charlene).
In addition, several Mayberry tribute artists including : David Browning (The Mayberry Deputy), Allan Newsume (Floyd the Barber), Kenneth Junkin (Otis), and The Craig County Boys (as The Country Boys) are scheduled to appear.

Friday, June 13, is the date for “Aunt Bee’s Picnic” at the Clarion Hotel Airport from 5 – 9:00 PM. The picnic is a very informal get-together to socialize and mingle and features: Picnic Eats … Bluegrass/Country music … Vendors & Collectibles … Meet & Greet … Silent and Verbal auction … Question & Answer Session. Deadline for ordering tickets is June 11, 2003.

Saturday, June 14 brings “Mayberry Memories In Word and Song” at 7:30 pm. This Full Stage Show takes place at the Shaftman Performance Hall in Jefferson Center.
On Sunday, June 15, there will be a Luncheon Cruise on the Virginia Dare Paddle Cruise Boat from 1:15 – 3:30 PM. This is a two-hour fun-filled get-together on Smith Mt. Lake where you can dine and visit with Mayberry personalities. This is a social cruise luncheon and mingle gathering with no performances. Personalities who will participate will be announced. The deadline for ordering cruise tickets is June 1, 2003.
Tickets for the Aunt Bee’s Picnic are $25 each and may be purchased at the Clarion Hotel – Airport and YWCA Downtown Roanoke. Tickets for the Cruise (including a full luncheon) send check or money order for $42 each payable to Mayberry Memories (and a SASE) to: Mayberry Memories Event, 212 Overlook Road, Vinton, VA 24179-4312.
Tickets to the Aunt Bee’s Picnic ($25 each) may also be ordered by mail, same instruction as for the Cruise.
