Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hickory, NC, is hosting to a Mayberry-themed
Missions Conference at the church located at1225 29th Avenue Drive Northeast, April 2-6,
2003.
Mayberry tends to take you back to a place where the pace of life was a little slower and to
a time where you could always enjoy a lot of laughter. Tabernacle Baptist Church
invites you to come join the fun at the “Mayberry County Fair” in the gymnasium
each night a little before 7 pm.
Mayberry themed skits with a missions message will be performed by members dressed as various Mayberry characters as part of the event.The Mayberry County Fair will have several different booths and lots of fun things for everyone to enjoy. Missionary rooms have a travel agency theme giving away “instant rural tours” as prizes where everyone is a winner.
According to the conference planners, “You will get to tour Spain, Western USA, Puerto
Rico or take a country getaway to rural USA as the missionaries share their ministry
presentations. The thing is that no matter where you go or how different people may seem,
they all need what we have, the gospel of Jesus Christ. We hope that you enjoy your
Mayberry experience and that you will be challenged to walk “Down Any
Road” to share Christ with the world.”
