Love’s Enduring Promise

Word Distribution and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment are providing CBA retailers with Love’s Enduring Promise on DVD February 15, 2005.
Directed by Michael Landon, Jr., Love’s Enduring Promise is based on award-winning author Janette Oke’s series of best-selling books with over 30 million in print. The film follows the acclaimed Love Comes Softly that has achieved Top-25 SoundScan ranking since its DVD release from Word last September and is currently the highest rated Hallmark Channel movie ever.

In addition, Word and Fox previewed the new Fat Albert movie in October with Nashville church, media and ministry organizations as a test market for CBA distribution in 2005.  Launching in theaters nationwide December 25, Fat Albert, produced by Bill Cosby, brings the classic cast to life and out of their animated, inner-city Philadelphia world. Word Distribution is further partnering with Fox to host an exclusive screening of another general market film, Because Of Winn-Dixie, for Word representatives during a December sales conference.
“In our continuing efforts to provide an increasing number of high quality, family-friendly entertainment products, the Fox/Word partnership has proven invaluable,” says Jeff Yordy, Marketing Director for 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. “We are pleased to continue to strengthen our relationship with Word Entertainment in the Christian marketplace.”

Recent offerings from Word and Fox included epics The Bible and The Robe, classics such as The Sound of Music, The Grapes of Wrath, Miracle on 34th Street (1947 and 1994 versions), A Christmas Wish, Hello Dolly!, Dr. Dolittle (1967), My Friend Flicka and four character-value based Strawberry Shortcake videos. Word further partnered with Fox earlier this year to launch Hangman’s Curse into CBA retail that achieved a Top-20 SoundScan ranking for 13 weeks. Word Distribution additionally created custom printed slipcases for churches and ministries to support Fox’s video release of The Passion Of The Christ,
