Lou Gramm of Foreigner to Release First Christian Project

Lou Gramm, the unmistakable voice behind 80s mega-hits “I Want to Know What Love Is” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You” is working on his first Christian rock project. The former lead singer with Foreigner originally planned to record the album in the early 90s but he temporarily set it aside to undergo rehabilitation for substance abuse.

Gramm, now 55, says an operation for a benign but life threatening brain tumor rekindled his desire to record the project.

“Even though it was a benign tumor, it was large and its presence threatened my life,” recalls Gramm. “It has been a daily struggle getting back to normal, but my faith in Jesus Christ is strong, and in the end, it got me through those tough times and continues to do so,” he says.

The legendary singer who has ten multi-platinum albums to his credit expects to release his first Christian project later this year.
