Lipscomb University Presents “The Queen’s 2 Bodies”

The Lipscomb University drama department presents
“The Queen’s 2 Bodies” April 18-21 at 7:30 p.m. in the University Theatre,
located at 3901 Granny White Pike, Nashville.

Admission is free. Performances are open to the public, and everyone
is invited to attend. No tickets or reservations required, but arrive early
because seating is limited.

“The Queen’s 2 Bodies” is a new play by Christian author Jeanne
Murray Walker.
It tells of the unsuccessful romance of Elizabeth I and the Earl of Essex,
who later challenged the throne and was executed. The title refers to the
Renaissance theory that a ruler had two “bodies” or two lives, public and
private, which were often in conflict.
