Lipscomb University presents A Cappella Singers

The Lipscomb University Music Department presents
the A Cappella Singers in concert April 21 at 3 p.m. at Wightman Chapel in
the Scarritt-Bennett Center, located at 1008 19th Ave. S., Nashville
The concert is free and open to the public. Everyone is invited to
attend.

The concert will feature selections from the tour repertoire
including Beati quorum via, Nunc dimittis, Gloria in excelsis, This is my
Father's World, Sing we Noel, Musicks Empire, Cantate Domino, Sinner Man,
Witness, and Ezekiel Saw de Wheel. Also featured will be selections from
Beethoven's Mass in C.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Dr. Larry Griffith,
professor of music, directing choruses at Lipscomb. As a unique feature of
this year's concert, Griffith will include alumni in several selections at
the end of the concert. He is inviting all former students who have sung
under him to meet at Wightman Chapel at 1:30 p.m. on the 21st to rehearse
five or six pieces that will then be performed with this year's group at the
closing of the concert. A reception and devotional will be held at the
Griffiths' home following the concert.
