The Lipscomb University hosts short story author Sue Berry April 25 from noon to 2 p.m. in the University Store, 3901 Granny White Pike, Nashville. Admission is free. The signing is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
Berry, former Lipscomb University English department chair, has devoted herself to writing since retiring in 1990. She will be signing her book, Who Is My Neighbor?, which is a collection of short fiction. The book was recently published by The University of Tennessee Press. Berry joined the department of English in 1955 and served as chair from 1980 to 1986, when she became director of the teacher education program.
“One of her favorite courses to teach was creative writing,” said Dr. Dennis Loyd, professor of English. “With that interest we were not
surprised to learn after her retirement that she was writing a book of short stories.”

Editor’s note: Dr. Berry was one of my English professors when I was a student at DLU. She was an excellent teacher and I am eager to get my hands on a copy of her book.
