Lipscomb U. Presents the Jazz Band, Vocal Ensemble

Lipscomb University’s Jazz Band and Jazz Vocal Ensemble will present their spring concert April 20 at 6:30 p.m. in Shamblin Theatre, located in the Student Center, 3901 Granny White Pike, Nashville.
The concert is free and open to the public. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Jazz Vocal Ensemble will present a new work, “How Can I Miss You If You Won’t Go Away” by Lipscomb student Melissa Lancaster, a junior Bible major from Goodlettsville. The ensemble will also feature Stormy Weather by Arlen and Koehler; I Got New for You by Higgenbotham and Shaw, arranged by Ralph Burns; and Blue Moon by Rogers and Hart, arranged by Dr. Gerald Moore, professor of music at Lipscomb and director of the Jazz Vocal Ensemble.

The Jazz Band will perform Full Nelson and Self Help is Needed by Oliver Nelson; When the Saints Go Marching In, arranged by Dean Sorenson; and Cat Race by Toshio Mashima.
