There will be days when we are faced
with trials beyond our means.
Pray that God will send a friend
to come and intervene.
One trial for me was yesterday,
in anguish I was pleading!
Moments later came a call:
a friend was interceding.
God’s graces come in many forms
to answer earnest voices.
Today His best came to address
my plight, my pain, my choices.
I hope someday that I can call
and lift this friend as well.
Heaven knows the rope he threw
that saved me from the “swell.”
Christian friends are Life Ropes,
extended, strong and sure.
They reach and draw the hurting
to a haven that’s secure.
Hebrews 3:12, 13 “See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
