Vivendi Entertainment and Possibility Pictures hosted the world premiere event of Letters to God on March 30 in Orlando, Florida, where the film was shot, and then followed that up by having a second Letters to God premiere event April 6 in Nashville, Tennessee where much of the true story was based.
A heartfelt tale of inspiration, hope and redemption, Letters to God is the story of what happens when one boy’s walk of faith crosses paths with one man’s search for meaning—the resulting transformational journey touches the lives of everyone around them. The screenplay (and subsequent book) was written by Patrick Doughtie and was inspired by his son Tyler’s real-life battle with cancer.
