LAYING IT AT THE FOOT OF THE THRONE!!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
The older I get and the more I learn about God, the more I see that I don’t know! It seems that certain lessons take forever for me to grasp. Once I
finally do, I see that it was just my stubbornness or lack of faith that was impeding the lesson!
I have seen the hand of God move in miraculous ways in my life. I have had His precious grace and mercy engulf all of me! What a feeling that is,
what a privilege to receive something I don’t deserve! In my sin and failure He reaches out to me and rescues me because He loves me! The knowledge of
that is what gets me out of bed in the morning, that is what motivates my whole day! The one true, living God loves me! As I read Job 38-41, Psalm
139, Isaiah 40, Psalm 19, Proverbs 8 and see the Majesty of my God, it just boggles my mind that He has time for me. Not only that, but He knows me,
truly knows all about me! He chases me, catches my tears, gently picks me up and lovingly rebukes me! All of this from the Creator of the universe!
The Master of it all and He always has time for me!
So why do I doubt, fear, stress or worry? There is nothing too big for God, nothing that will
surprise Him and nothing that will stump Him! How can I forget that? Why do I pray and then worry over the outcome? It has taken me too many years
to learn this simple truth, once I pray about something…..let go of it! I have just laid it at the feet of our almighty God! He has got it now and there is no
need to hold onto it! The worry, concern or request is much better at the foot of the throne than gripped tightly in my human hand! What a blessing what
relief…..what a God! To take interest in all that I put in front of Him, ‘Everything!” Read Psalm 145 and take note of the word “all,” especially around
verses 13-21. Don’t you feel important after reading that?! Your God loves you and cares deeply for you…..what a love affair! Someone who will never
leave, hurt, forget or forsake you! He loves you more than you deserve! The best part is, even though He knows EVERYTHING, about you He still loves you! That should be enough to captivate anyone!
Everyone gets lonely, sad, discouraged and overwhelmed at times! Most Christians have times where we feel unloved, rejected, worthless or hopeless.
That is when we need to realize that while we are still here on earth, our ‘flesh’ and sin nature will pull on us until the day we die. We must access all the
weapons God has graciously given us! The most powerful being the “SWORD” (Eph. 6:17) The Word of God! Dig in find those love letters from God,
those promises, all of the truths and then claim them! Speak “life” into your life and your walk! Don’t just read them once but memorize them, hide them
in your heart and have them ready at all times! Equipping yourself with this weapon, the knowledge of the Word, will change your life and your walk with
Christ! You will be able to do things in power and might, through the strength of His Sprit and with authority…..because you are accessing His strengt! not your own! You will be able to fight the giants because you are equipped! That is also how you combat “worry” and take it out! As you come humbly
before His throne and present your request to God, lay it down ……..then walk away! But, this time you don’t leave with your baggage…..you leave
empowered through your submission and faith in our almighty God! He has got it and He has got you. Whatever He does with what you have brought to
Him is ‘His will’! There is no need to worry about it or doubt His ability to handle it! “His will” is the best deal in town, you could not hope for more!
So, no need to worry, stress or drag it around….lay it at the foot of the throne and let go of it! Praise God, what freedom that is!
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.”

So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the
saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the
measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the
church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
