To celebrate “Launch: Ignition,” the second installment in the highly successful Launch music CD series, a late night showcase will be held on Friday, October 21, at The McVety Centre, 50 Gervais Dr., near Eglinton & Don Mills, in Toronto. Following a free 7pm worship event featuring Craig Douglas and The Meeting House, Covenant Award winners Jody Cross and Aileen Lombardo and newcomer Jon Bauer from Edmonton, the late night showcase starts at 9pm, with performances by Canadian Christian artists Relic, Adam Farrell, Hetti-Marie, The Silent, Beaumont, N.I.F.T.Y, Only Forward and Hello Kelly.
Advance tickets are available through www.yourticketzone.com for $10 and include a FREE CD and FREE 12” vinyl record. Tickets will also be available at the door for $12. A portion of concert proceeds will go to concert partners World Vision and the Canadian Gospel Music Association.
“I believe we vastly underestimate the impact Christian artists have on our world,” says Mike Bowman, manager/artists associates at World Vision Canada. “There is an ages-old tradition of powerful and transformational creativity within the church that honors God’s creativity in the world and in our lives. We’re very thankful to partner with Canadian artists who, through their willingness to be vessels of creation, move and inspire people to know God.”
“Launch: Ignition” recently released at Canadian Christian retailers for only $4.99. It’s the follow-up to “Launch: The Journey Begins,” an earlier installment featuring artists like Hawk Nelson, Manafest, Trev from Thousand Foot Krutch, and Out Of The Monetary (OOTM), who use modern rock and other styles of music to positively impact the world.
