3/22/02 Freddie Colloca recently participated in the 25-city NewSong Winter Jam Tour and gave audiences a sneak preview of music from Unconditional. During the tour, Colloca shared company with Christian music greats NewSong, Newsboys, and Michelle Tumes, among others.

Fernando Ortega hits the road this week on his “Storm Tour”. He’ll perform songs from his latest offering, Storm, which landed on store shelves February 5th and appeared at #9 on Billboard Magazine’s “Heatseekers” chart two weeks later. In addition to being the “opening act”, special guests, Nathan and Christy Nockels of Watermark, will also earn their keep as part of Fernando Ortega’s band. The tour will blow into Lubbock, TX on March 15th and then touch down in Dallas, Wichita, Minneapolis, Grand Rapids, Atlanta, Cleveland and Baltimore, as well as other neighboring cities. Salvador is finishing up a few weeks of much needed rest and relaxation. Nic, Art, Josh, Eliot, Pablo, Chris and Billy have been home with their families enjoying this rare time off. This weekend they’ll hit the road again, making stops in Chicago, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Alabama, Tennessee and finishing the month in New Mexico. According to Pablo, the guys of Salvador are looking forward to getting back on the road to minister and introduce audiences to new music from their upcoming release Into Motion, which will make it’s way to stores June 4th. 3/8/02 The group Alma Latina recently returned from LA where they recorded with Reed Vertelney (Plus One) and other producers. Alma Latina is scheduled for a showcase on March 4th.
On a recent trip to Washington D.C., Jaci Velasquezsang for President Bush and the First Lady for ‘Celebrating America’s Musical Heritage: A Salute To Gospel Music’. This showcase, held at the White House, will air on PAX-TV at 9PM CST on March 9th. Jaci was nominated for a Dove award in the category of Spanish Language Album for her album, Mi Corazon. She is a finalist for a Latin Billboard award in the following categories: Hot Latin Track of the Year – ‘Como Se Cura Una Herida’, Pop Album of the Year, Female – ‘Mi Corazon’, and Latin Pop Airplay Track of the Year – ‘Como Se Cura Una Herida’. Jaci also lent her voice to a soundtrack for Crusader Film’s upcoming release, ‘Joshua’ that is scheduled for release April 2nd.
3/05/02 Fernando Ortega will be appearing in Billy Graham’s Central Valley Crusade television special this week. Fernando’s performance of “This Good Day” will be aired during the second of the two broadcasts. Here’s a link so you check out the air date and time for your area: billygraham.
