Latin Spotlight: Jme Medina

Jme Medina has impacted today’s youth and adults with her positive lyrics and mainstream beats in a powerful way. If you’ve seen Jme’s show or listened to her music, you will agree that Jme is one artist to remember! Jme has a vision to bring more positive—uplifting–God inspired music into Christian and secular airwaves and into people’s everyday lives through the spirit of truth! Her voice and ministry is anointed beyond her years and she is sure to become a household favorite!
Jme’s debut CD “Lay It Down” was released in early March 2005, and was produced by highly acclaimed artist/producer John Katina of “The Katinas,” Kene “Ghost” Bell (Stacie Orrico, Out of Eden, Grits, etc…), David Rogers (Baby Bash, Nino Brown, Remnant), and the late Jerome Jefferson. Writers on the album include Jme Medina, John Katina, James Katina, Sharee Katina, Kene Bell, and Chris Faulk (Jaci Velasquez, The Katinas, Amy Grant..). Jme is currently working on her first worship album, and her second pop/r&b/alternative album which is due out in late 2006.

Jme has also been among the few chosen artists to share her ministry on the Christian Cruise line with Carnival along with other nationally established artists such as: The Katinas, Natalie Grant, Zoe girl, George Rowe, Kristy Starling, Tammy Trent, Russ Lee,and Kara Williamson.
Although Jme is a newer artist to emerge onto the scene, she has become the newly featured released artist on SOS Christian Radio network (which serves over 12 different states—including her hometown of Las Vegas, NV), certain secular stations, and overseas her music can be heard in countries such as Australia, New Zealand and Canada. She has also recently been added to playlists in NY, AL, NC, SC, TX and MD. The album “Lay It Down” has been a favorite among youth, college age and adults!
Jme has opened for or performed with national artists such as those listed above, and the following: Paul Wright, Everyday Sunday, Chris Tomlin, Petra, Falling Up, Ricki B, Prime Minister, SOP, Time Spent Burning, David Meece, Remnant, George Huff, Brock Gill, Starfield, Stephen Hurd, Kirk Franklin (w/Remnant), and Israel Houghton (w/Remnant), Ashanti, among many others…
Besides Jme touring nationally solo, she has also toured nationally with “Remnant”—which is managed by former NFL quarterback and newly ordained pastor Randall Cunningham. Touring is extremely important to Jme because of the personal contact she would not otherwise get among the people she ministers to.
Jme’s vision has much to do with her life experience, and desire to reach everyone around her.
Due to the style of Jme’s music, and the entertainment aspect to Jme’s show, she is able to attract a widely diverse audience while crossing cultural barriers. Her ministry is especially effective for youth, teens, and women.
