DVDs, Music and a little bit of Napoleon

It’s that time of the year again! Time to start thinking about shopping for those special people on your Christmas list. I know, you’ve been thinking to yourself, “What should I get so and so this year?” Well, I’ve made it a little easier for you. I’ve compiled a short list of great gifts that are sure to please that special someone this Christmas.
Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (DVD)
The final installment in the Star Wars saga has just been released on DVD, with this installment being by far the best of the three prequels. Watch as Anakin Skywalker makes the final transformation to the Dark Side and becomes the evil Darth Vader. Pay particular attention to the last half-hour…you’ll definitely be on the edge of your seat. Filled with tons of special effects throughout, the two-disc set is sure to please the science fiction fan on your list. The DVD is packed with a ton of special bonus features, including a brand new documentary, deleted scenes, a music video and a playable Xbox demo of “Star Wars: Battlefront II”.
ALIAS: The Complete Fourth Season (DVD)
The action-packed spy drama’s fourth season contains 22 heart-stopping episodes spanned over six DVD’s. You’ll experience non-stop excitement, and plenty of surprises, as you follow former CIA agent Sydney Bristow’s adventures with a new Black Ops unit. Along with the season’s episodes, you’ll find plenty of extras, including a gag reel, deleted scenes and an interview with Jennifer Garner. Since I’m such a huge fan of the show, this is one box set I personally want to find under my tree this year (being that I already own the first three seasons).
2006 Napoleon Dynamite Wall Calendar
Gosh! This 2006 calendar will have your special someone spouting more lines from the hugely popular movie than you’ll care to shake a stick at. The calendar includes twelve months of lovable geek Napoleon and his cage-fighting brother Kip. Sweet!
Left Behind: World At War (DVD)
“World At War” is the latest offering in the series of movies based on the best-selling books by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. This one finds those “left behind” facing the threat of WWIII, after a time of world peace brought on by Antichrist Nicolae Carpathia. This is another special-effects heavy movie, and includes such top name talents as Kirk Cameron (who also starred in the first two movies), Louis Gossett Jr., Brad Johnson and Jessica Steen. A ton of special bonus features are also featured on the disc.
WOW Hits 2006 (CD) – Chordant (EMI)
This year’s compilation of hits includes many top names such as Amy Grant, MercyMe, Jars of Clay and Casting Crowns, amidst newer acts like Building 429, Inhabited and The Afters. The double disc set is a great gift idea, as it is sure to please even the most finicky music fan on your list. There’s also a music DVD available that contains some of the artists featured on the audio CD.
