Transparent the follow-up to the self-titled debut album
from Reunion recording artist LaRue, moved to # 6 on SoundScan’s Top
Christian Albums chart for the week ending February 12. The album debuted
at #13 on the chart the week ending February 5.
“Wake Up,” the album’s first single, entered the Top 5 on The CCM Update’s
CHR Top 20 chart for the issue dated February 12. The single has been in
the Top 10 on the CHR chart for four consecutive weeks.
“I’m sure this strong debut has surprised a lot of people,” said Dean
Diehl, general manager, Reunion Records. “Many people weren’t aware that
LaRue’s first albumB scanned over 75,000 units. Phillip and Natalie have
been out there building a solid foundation for almost three years now, and
when you build your audience that way they stay with you a long time.”
LaRue’s self-titled 1999 debut produced the hit singles “Waiting Room” and
“Someday,” while their debut video, “Reason” received airplay on The Disney
Channel. They have been featured on the covers of Campus Life, Brio and
Release magazines. LaRue is currently performing on the Strangely Normal
tour featuring Phil Joel and later this month will perform on the spring
leg of the Rebecca St. James Transform tour.
