~ Lara Trump Celebrates America’s 250th in Nashville: Reconnecting Tennesseans to Liberty & Opportunity ~
Despite the rainy evening weather in Nashville on March 11, 2026, a spirited crowd gathered at the iconic Musicians Hall of Fame for Americans for Prosperity’s (AFP) latest “One Small Step” event. The gathering honored America’s upcoming 250th anniversary by reconnecting attendees with the nation’s foundational principles: liberty, dignity, and opportunity.
As part of AFP’s ongoing series to celebrate U.S. history and the enduring American experiment, the evening featured powerful discussions on how the Founding Fathers crafted a system of limited government to empower individuals to pursue their own paths to happiness—particularly resonant in Tennessee, dubbed America’s “Original Frontier.”
Key speakers included Lara Trump, host of Fox News’ “My View,” Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, and Congressman Matt Van Epps (R-TN-7), who recently won a closely watched special election in Tennessee’s 7th District.
Lara Trump emphasized the exceptional nature of the United States in her remarks: “America is a unique place in which you are only limited by what you can dream and what you’re willing to do to achieve that dream, how hard you’re willing to work. And there really is no other place on earth, quite like the United States of America.”
She highlighted the importance of preserving the American Dream through policies that reduce burdens on everyday people: “We want people to be able to live the American dream. And you can’t do that when you’re overtaxed, when you’re over-regulating. And so we said… people are going to get the biggest tax rebates this year that they have ever gotten. And I think that’s important.”
The event blended celebration with civic reflection, complete with patriotic attire, live music, hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and complimentary valet parking—drawing attendees eager to discuss America’s past achievements and future promise amid the historic backdrop of the Musicians Hall of Fame.
AFP’s One Small Step initiative continues to host similar events nationwide, inviting citizens to engage with the timeless ideals that have made the nation exceptional as it approaches its semiquincentennial in 2026.
