“A Christmas Carol,” a new adaptation of the beloved Dickens Christmas ghost story, is the newest offering of Smyrna-based Lamplighters Theatre. Set in nineteenth century England, amidst the splendor and squalor of London “A Christmas Carol” is a timeless tale of love, redemption, and good cheer. Faithfully adapted for the stage by veteran actor/director/playwright, Ronnie Meek, “A Christmas Carol” is a feast for the eyes and the heart. Fanciful characters, flowing costumes and sumptuous sets (including a 19′ round, revolving stage built specifically for this production) enhance the performances of this veteran acting troupe.
