Kindred Three Brings Multi-Cultural Sound

With their dance/pop first single “Away” impacting Christian Hit Radio (CHR) stations across the country, Kindred Three’s self-titled Red Hill Records debut hit stores nationwide last October. In the weeks prior to the album’s release, Lamar, Shone and Wenche crossed the country on a media and radio promotional tour, visiting cities that included Chicago, St. Louis, Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Tampa, among others.
Hailing from San Diego, CA, this multi-cultural trio’s unique sound crosses the boundaries of pop, R&B and urban music, showcasing
their diverse heritage–Lamar is Filipino and African-American; Shone is Latino/Caucasian; and Wenche is Latino. Kindred Three add
their passionate message to the songs on the eponymous debut, writing or co-writing seven of the project’s ten cuts.
Now in their early twenties, the threesome met in high school because of a mutual love of music, even making their way onto MTV’s
“The Cut”–and losing out by only 1/2 a point to the winner! Another recent brush with fame took Kindred Three to Tempe, AZ, for the
2nd Annual A.C. Green Celebrity Basketball Game, where they performed songs from their Red Hill Records project for an
estimated 10,000 fans during the half-time show.
