Although this is the debut release from the 16 year old Georgia teen, she’s not new to the music scene. Katelyn was a finalist on the Fox TV series, “American Idol Juniors.”
Most of the songs found on this cd are pop sounding, although there’s a definite dance club undertone found on several of them. Those songs feature killer bass tracks along with Katelyn’s strong vocals that results in a fresh end sound. You’ll also find one piano ballad on the CD titled, “Life Was.”
Although she is only 16 years of age, her voice has a depth and passion in it that well exceeds such a short amount of years on earth and life experiences. The songs found on the CD deal with teen life, including love and faith in God.
This is a good strong debut from Katelyn that should help to get the word out about her young talents.
