Reunion’s newest female artist, Joy Williams, is gearing up for the release of her self-titled debut
album on July 24, 2001. In addition to performing with Anointed, Greg Long and label mates
NewSong and Jake as part of the Summer Jam, Joy will complete a two-week promo tour, hitting
markets such as Spokane, Knoxville, Houston, Dallas, Estes Park, Colorado Springs and Chicago.
On June 9, 2001, just weeks before releasing her self-titled debut album, Reunion recording artist
Joy Williams joined 250 of her classmates from Valley Christian High School in accepting their
diplomas with a backdrop of the hills of San Jose, California. Joy graduated as an honor student
with a 4.0 GPA and tied for the #1 position at the top of her class. Joy recently spent two weeks in
Hawaii as part of her senior graduation trip. While there celebrating her graduation, she joined
ForeFront’s Rebecca St. James and Word Record’s Rachael Lampa on stage for two shows in
Honolulu, Hawaii, on June 15th and 16th.
In July, Joy will join Anointed, Greg Long, and label-mates NewSong and Jake on the Summer Jam.
This fall, she will perform in 45 markets as part of Avalon’s Oxygen Tour. She recently co-hosted
the Provident Big Ticket event on Tuesday night at CBA with label mate Eddie Carswell of NewSong
and received a standing ovation for her performance. Joy’s radio success continues this week with an
upward climb on the AC radio charts with her debut single “I Believe In You”. Currently “I Believe
In You” is #12 AC and still climbing while garnering simultaneous chartbreaking status for both the
CHR radio chart with “Serious” and the Inspirational radio chart with “I Believe In You”. Joy’s
self-titled debut album hits stores on July 24th.
