Joy Williams Gets Some Oxygen

Reunion’s new artist, Joy Williams, is scheduled to
release her self-titled debut album July 24, in the midst of two whirlwind
tours. After being featured on Left Behind: The Concert Tour and Winter
Jam, Joy is embarking on two new tours: the Oxygen Tour with Avalon and the
Summer Jam Tour featuring NewSong, Greg Long, Anointed and Jake.
As part of the Oxygen Tour, Joy will join Avalon on an estimated 45-city
tour, including Houston, Denver, Dallas, Birmingham, Albuquerque, Tacoma,
Knoxville, Spokane, Sioux City, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, and
Sacramento. The tour will launch in San Antonio, TX, on September 20th and
will conclude in New Orleans, LA, on November 17th.
“Within the past year I have had the wonderful opportunity to experience not
only [Joy’s] powerhouse talent, but also the heart behind that talent,” says
Jody McBrayer of Avalon. “…She is like a breath of fresh air to CCM and I
look forward to watching God use her to do great things in the years to
come.
However, prior to hitting the road with Avalon, Joy once again joins Reunion
artist NewSong on their Summer Jam Tour, which will hit 20 markets in a
little over a month. Beginning in Asheville, NC, on July 11, Summer Jam
will hit cities such as Birmingham, Augusta, Knoxville, Jackson, MS,
Springfield, MO, and Lake Charles before concluding in Mobile, AL, on August
25th.
“The success of the JAM tours has been overwhelming,” says tour producer,
Troy VanLiere, co-owner of vanlierewilcox. “Winter Jam saw over 50,000
people in attendance, and each night, hundreds of people would come forward
during the invitation. Lives are being changed and we are very excited
about Joy helping us to continue that ministry.”
In addition to both tours, Joy will be making appearances at several
festivals across the nation this summer including AtlantaFest on June 23rd,
LifeFest on July 14th, and Spirit West Coast from July 26th to July 29th.
“We are very excited about the opportunity Joy has to expand her ministry
this year by touring with Avalon and on the Summer Jam tour,” says Keri
Turner, Director of Marketing for Reunion Records. “Joy has been on the
road for the past 8 months connecting with audiences across the nation and
adding in 60 dates before the year’s end gives her an amazing opportunity to
continue that connection.”
Joy’s self-titled debut album, which hits stores on July 24th, was produced
by Dan Muckala and features songs from some of the music’s finest writers,
including Ty Lacy, Regie Hamm and Muckala. Joy’s first radio single, “I
Believe In You” is currently climbing the charts.
