Jim Van Hook, former chairman of Provident Music Group and power broker in the Christian Music Industry for more than 20 years, has been named the first dean of the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business at Belmont University.
The appointment culminates a national search of several months and signals the school’s new era of growth as a college now separate from the Belmont College of Business Administration.
Van Hook came out of a 4-month-old retirement from the Christian music label to take the job, effective Sept. 2.
