From the creators of I Can Only Imagine, the new movie Jesus Revolution promises to bring to theaters what the Asbury Revival brought to college campuses. See Revival at Asbury University: Exclusive Report

Hot on the heels of the outpouring at Asbury, the film Jesus Revolution, starring Kelsey Grammar from “Frasier”, and Jonathan Roumie from “The Chosen,” is coming to theaters this weekend.

What Is Jesus Revolution About?

Based on a true story, Jesus Revolution brings the history of evangelist Greg Laurie to life. In the 1970s, a youthful Laurie (Joel Courtney) is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places: until he meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher. Together with Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer), they open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to an unexpected revival, leading to what TIME Magazine dubbed a JESUS REVOLUTION.

Who Is Greg Laurie?

Greg Laurie is the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship with campuses in California and Hawaii. He is the featured speaker of public evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades.

Cast of Jesus Revolution:

Joel Courtney (Greg Laurie)
Jonathan Roumie (Lonnie Frisbee) Kimberly Williams Paisley (Charlene Laurie) Anna Grace Barlow (Cathe Laurie)
Kelsey Grammer (Chuck Smith)

With so much interest in the Revival at Asbury University, the timing of the release of Jesus Revolution is significant. Jesus Revolution is a historical telling, bringing to life The Jesus Movement— a revival that swept the country in the late 60’s and early 70s. It opens in theaters this weekend.
