16-year-old singer/songwriter Jessie Daniels has signed a deal with Brettian Productions in South Africa. Brettian will release Jessie’s self-titled 6-song EP throughout South Africa May 30th, with marketing plans calling for extensive promotion to Christian and mainstream radio and television.
The self-titled EP was produced in Nashville by Sam Mizell (RJ Helton, Bryan Chan). Jessie is currently in Nashville recording an additional 11 songs for a full length release, which Brettian will release in South Africa in time for the 2004 Christmas season.
“Brettian Productions is ecstatic about the signing of Jessie Daniels for the South African market. We were amazed to learn that Jessie is only sixteen years old. Definitely one of the most talented female artists I’ve ever heard,” says Brettian’s General Manager, John Venter, who has a wealth of experience both in the retail and wholesale trade. “The songs are great and the overall production is awesome. With no less than three potential chart toppers, it makes things difficult in selecting the first radio single. What a problem to have! We are honored to be associated with Jessie Daniels and Brian Mayes of the Nashville Publicity Group.”
Jessie is currently touring throughout the U.S., performing at Radio Disney and sharing the stage with artists like Sheryl Crow, Kutless, Plus One and more. A tour with former LMNT front man and “Making the Band” star Bryan Chan is being planned for summer. In just the past four months alone, Jessie has been featured in over 60 teen and entertainment magazines worldwide. In addition to touring and international press, Jessie recently partnered with with artists like Hilary Duff and The Donna’s in an endorsement deal with Daisy Rock Girl Guitars!
