Jeremy Camp Headlines Fall Tour

Reigning Dove Award-winning Male Vocalist and New Artist of the Year Jeremy Camp has announced he will be headlining the “Restored Tour” this fall, hitting over 40 cities across the nation.  Singer/songwriter Bethany Dillon and band Tree63 are confirmed as supporting acts on this highly anticipated tour.

The tour, acquiring its name from Camp’s current release on BEC Recordings, will begin September 2nd and go through November 21st.  Tour dates are listed below.
While planning the third headlining tour of his career, Camp’s manager, Matt Balm of Flat-Out Entertainment, commented, “When we started talking about who to tour with this fall, Bethany Dillon and Tree63 were definitely our first choice.  Luckily, they agreed and we are honored to have them with us.”
“With this lineup, we feel there will be an amazing blend of different musical styles that will appeal to a broad demographic,” Balm continues.  “Those who come to the show are going to connect with these amazing artists on a spiritual level as well as a personal level.  All three artists have had tremendous radio success, giving the fans songs to look forward to hearing during the night.  The concertgoer can count on a low ticket price, amazing production, and mostly, a place to meet with God.”

Currently on the “Undone Tour” with MercyMe, Camp will be hitting the main stages at all the major summer festivals as well as performing in Morocco at Friendship Fest May 6th through the 8th.  Friendship Fest, the outdoor festival and historic gathering bringing together Christians and Muslims, will feature musicians from both the U.S. and Morocco on the same stage to celebrate peace and tolerance.  Visit www.friendshipfest.com for more information.

Upon winning two awards at last year’s Gospel Music Association’s Dove Awards, Camp is nominated four times for this year’s Awards show.  Camp is up for Male Artist, Rock Recorded Song (for “Stay” as artist and songwriter) and Praise & Worship Album (for Carried Me: The Worship Project). Winners will be announced this Wednesday, April 13th at the Opry House in Nashville, TN.

Special guest Bethany Dillon is nominated this year for three Dove awards, including Female Vocalist and New Artist of the Year honors.  This 16-year-old Sparrow recording artist had the top-selling female solo debut in Contemporary Christian music in 2004.  Her self-titled album released last April to critical acclaim and includes the No. 1 Christian radio hit “All I Need” and the Top 5 single “Beautiful.”  Recently featured on the covers of both “Campus Life” and “On Course” magazines, Dillon is currently preparing for the summer release of her sophomore recording.
Hailing from South Africa, Tree63 first appeared in the United States in 1999 with its Dove Award-winning, self-titled debut for Inpop Records, earning a string of international No.1 singles.  Their current CD, The Answer To The Question, features “Blessed Be Your Name,” named Billboard Magazine’s No. 1 Adult Contemporary Christian radio single for 2004.  The song has been nominated for “Song of the Year” and “Worship Song” awards for the upcoming awards show.

To date, Camp’s three albums with BEC Recordings are close to selling 1,000,000 units. Restored released November 16th, 2004 while his fan-driven release, Carried Me: The Worship Project, hit shelves in February of last year.  Stay, Camp’s debut CD, released September, 2002.

Jeremy Camp is the reigning GMA Dove Award winner for Male Vocalist and New Artist of the Year.  From sales to radio, from media to touring, this singer/songwriter is continuing to make a definitive mark in the industry with his hit songs and ability to capture audiences of all ages.  He is enjoying his new job as father as he and his wife, Adrienne, welcomed the birth of their first child, Isabella Rose, in 2004.  With seven No. 1 songs under his belt, Camp has garnered praise from such publications as Billboard, CCM, CRW and R&R, and CCM named him 2005’s Reader’s Choice for Favorite Artist and Favorite Male Artist.  ChristianMusicToday.com named him Best Male Vocalist of 2004 from their Reader’s Choice Music Awards. Campus Life Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards voted him Favorite Best Male Artist and CMCentral.com awarded Jeremy Artist of the Year and Male Artist of the Year in 2004.  He has graced the covers of Pollstar, CCM, Breakaway and Christian Music Planet.  Camp’s first-ever DVD, “In24,” released last spring, and his songs have also been featured on many of the WOW projects.
