Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment to Distribute The Roach Approach
Wacky World Studios, the design and animation studio which created the kids’ video series The Roach Approach, has signed an exclusive, long-term distribution agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment to take The Roach Approach videos to the U.S. and Canadian retail markets, announced Bruce Barry, founder and co-president of Wacky World Studios and creator of The Roach Approach. The distribution agreement will include both general market and Christian retail distribution for The Roach Approach videos. Christian retail distribution, formerly handled by EMI CMG Distribution, will be managed by Word Distribution, through Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment’s distribution relationship with Word’s parent company Warner Brothers.

Music for the Soul, a not-for-profit organization creating records dealing with some of the most difficult issues people face from a Christian perspective, has announced the release of Somebody’s Daughter, a new CD confronting the lies of pornography. Featuring artists Clay Crosse and Scott Krippayne as well as speakers Dennis Rainey and Fred Stoeker, among others, Somebody’s Daughter takes the listener on a journey; identifying an issue that has become a problem even within the church. According to a recent survey conducted by Focus on the Family, 37 percent of pastors admit to a personal struggle with pornography. Focus on the Family also reports that four out of every seven calls into their national helpline include the issue of pornography. According to Dr. Doug Weiss of Heart to Heart Ministries in Colorado Springs, Colo., Somebody’s Daughter is “hard truth” – overcoming denial, convicting the heart, offering practical solutions, and ultimately proclaiming freedom for men who will turn from sin to Christ.

Kate Paley, heiress of one of the most influential families in the entertainment industry, is using her family’s media legacy and savvy to launch a multi-media company designed to bring the Word of God to life through high-tech CGI animations, websites, and digital art. The company, Word Diamonds ( features film animations, extraordinary special effects, screensavers, websites, and other digital art, all designed to “unpack” the Word of God by exploring – both graphically and textually – the many facets, origins, and expressions of words. Industry leader EMI Gospel has been nominated for a 2005 R&R Industry Achievement Award in the “Label of the Year” category. A year after adopting the Gospel format for charting purposes, the publication is officially acknowledging this genre by including it in the R&R Industry Achievement Awards for the very first time. EMI Gospel is in the company of fellow heavyweight label nominees Zomba Label Group, Sony Urban Music and Gospo Centric, and others. Ballots have gone out to eligible subscribers and they have until May 20 to cast their electronic vote.

Internationally acclaimed praise and worship artist Martha Munizzi (Martha Munizzi Music) has signed a long-term marketing and distribution agreement with Integrity Music, announced Danny McGuffey, Integrity’s chief marketing officer.

The Fifth Annual KC Christian Music (KCCM) Awards were held at Youth Front Auditorium located at 4715 Rainbow Blvd., Shawnee Mission, Kansas. The KCCM Awards serve to recognize KC Christian Music artists in a variety of award categories including Artist of the Year (in each music genre), Song of the Year, and Group of the Year. The KCCM Awards were started to provide a link between the public and KC Christian Music artists. This organization includes local, regional and national independent artists that perform in the Christian music market. The awards are held each spring at a Kansas City area venue.
