EMI Christian Music acquired 50% of British company Kingsway Communications Ltd.’s 4,000+-song ThankYou Music catalog, which includes more than 40 of the top 100 songs used in U.K. churches. Many were popularized by best-selling albums from Delirious?, Sonicflood, the Passion Worship Band, and the “WoW Worship” series. The deal also includes a long-term, co-publishing agreement.

NewSong’s latest album, “Sheltering Tree,” debuted on Billboard’s
Heatseekers Album Chart in the publication’s December 16 issue. According to the January 6 issue of Billboard magazine, “The Christmas
Shoes” held the top position on the Adult Contemporary singles chart,
edging past titles from such artists as ‘N Sync, Backstreet Boys, BBMak
and Faith Hill.
“Sheltering Tree” has sold over 300 percent more than “Arise, My
Love-The Very Best of NewSong” and over 650 percent more than “Love
Revolution” each sold in their respective first 12 weeks of release,
making “Sheltering Tree” the fastest selling album in NewSong’s 19-year
history.
