2006 SGN Music Awards Handed Out
The 2006 SGN Awards were handed out last night at a special concert celebration in Smyrna, Tennessee. The Booth Brothers were this year’s big winner, winning a record setting eight awards, including Song of the Year (“He Saw It All”), Album of the Year (The Blind Man Saw It All), Male Group of the Year, Traditional Southern Song of the Year (“He Saw It All”), and Fan Favorite Artist of the Year. Lead vocalist Ronnie Booth was awarded the coveted Male Vocalist of the Year, and Jim Brady was awarded Songwriter of the Year (Artist). The Booth Brothers were also given the Pacesetter Award – the evening’s biggest award that honors any artist, song, album, individual, company, etc. that raised the standard in the industry for the previous year.
The Crabb Family was awarded three awards last night. The group was given its fourth consecutive Mixed Group of the Year honor, as well as awards in the categories of Special Event Project of the Year (for Live At Brooklyn Tabernacle) and Best Live Performer.

Patton House Entertainment announces that its flagship artist, Nashville-based Joanna Martino, has officially signed a booking agreement with Jeff Roberts & Associates and begun a long term partnership with Compassion International.
My Other Band: Vol. 1 Releases in June
MONO VS STEREO will release My Other Band: Vol. 1, a unique compilation of side projects from well-known artists, this coming June 27th. My Other Band: Vol. 1 features new music from 5 different artists’ side projects. Artists slated to have music included are Matthew Thiessen (lead singer of Relient K) and the Earthquakes, Agnes (Dave Douglas from Relient K), My Red Hot Nightmare (Ethan Luck from the Supertones, Dan Spencer from the Supertones, and Josh Abott from Ace Troubleshooter), Royal Empire Music (Davy Baysinger and Jared Byers from Bleach), and Tyler Burkum (Audio Adrenaline). Each act will contribute 3 songs to the album for a total of 15 songs priced out at $9.98.
Shawn McDonald Wraps Up Tour
Shawn McDonald has recently experienced some amazing successes, not the least of which is the release of RIPEN, his sophomore release which hit the ground running with a #1 spot on iTunes for the last two weeks, #2 debut on Billboard Heatseekers and #116 on Billboard’s Top 200. Now, McDonald can add a well-attended, well-received first headlining tour to his list of firsts. The RIPEN tour enjoyed sell outs across Washington and six straight sell outs in California, including two packed out shows at Pepperdine University in Malibu.

Intl) to present The Artist Unleashed: The Arts in Ministry Conference during the 32nd Annual GMA Music in the Rockies event July 30 to August 5, 2006 in Estes Park, Colo., announced John W.
