Lisa Beamer, widow of Todd Beamer, one of the men on flight 93 that thwarted the plans of hijackers, gave birth January 9th to a girl at a New Jersey hospital. The baby girl weighed 7 pounds and has been named Morgan Kay Beamer. Welcoming home their new sibling will be the couple?s two young sons Drew and David.
Lisa, known for her unflagging sense of hope in the midst of tragedy as well as her courage has become a national symbol of strength. Lisa is also founder and CEO of the Todd Beamer Foundation, a non-profit organization set up to help the children affected by the crash of flight 93 as well as other children who lost parent(s) in the September 11 terrorist attacks.
While Lisa is grateful for the outpouring of support and the thoughtfulness of others at the arrival of her new child, she asks that in lieu of baby gifts, interested individuals make a donation to the Todd M.
