Described by Christian Retailing (June 10, 2002) as “acoustic-based, Southern-flavored college rock in the vein of Dave
Matthews, Steven Curtis Chapman or even new supergroup Mercy Me,” Fervent Records’ band Big Daddy Weave will perform
at 8 p.m. With their album, One And Only, releasing nationwide on July 30, the band’s debut single, “In Christ,” is currently at
#23 on Adult Contemporary Christian Radio (Radio & Records). One And Only was produced by Franklin resident and
acclaimed Christian songwriter and recording artist Jeromy Deibler of Essential Records’ band FFH.
With approximately 800 in attendance last year, the 2nd Annual Grassland Community Appreciation Day is the kick-off event
for “Amazon Outfitters,” the church’s Vacation Bible School for children and adults. Vacation Bible School runs July 14 – 17,
from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at Grassland Heights Baptist Church.
